FICCI has recently got into a partnership with Population Services International (PSI), Y. R. Gaitonde Center for AIDS Research and Education (YRGCARE) and the Karnataka Health Promotion Trust (KHPT) and The International Labour Organization (ILO) for implementing the Project CONNECT.

The CONNECT partners will mobilize companies, particularly those from traditionally vulnerable industries to implement workplace HIV/AIDS programs and policies and to support HIV/AIDS programs for high risk informal workers/communities through their commitment to corporate social responsibility

The project will concentrate on the following areas:

• Karnataka (main emphasis)
  
• Coastal Andhra Pradesh
  
• Six port towns (Mumbai, Vashi, Mangalore, Tuticorin, Chennai and Vizag)
